Herb Jeffries at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, May 1989. Backed by the George Bruno sextet, local PBS broadcast.  As a bit of background, Herb Jeffries was discovered by Duke Ellington.  He sang the famous "Flamingo" number.  A "Soundie" was made from this song which features one of the first filmed performances of choreography by Katherine Dunham (this sequence features Tally Beatty and Janet Collins dancing).
